The highest number of any city, after NYC!  Larry Page (Google), Steven Roberts (leveraged buiyouts), Riley Bechtel (Bechtel), Steven Bechtel Jr.(Bechtel), Ray Dolby (Dolby), Gordon Getty (oil), William Randolph Hearst III (Hearst), John Pritzker (hotels), John Fisher (Gap), Robert Fisher (Gap), Thomas Steyer (finance), William FIsher (Gap), Don Fisher (Gap), Doris Fisher (Gap), Walter Shorenstein (real estate)

3. $7.1 Billion net profit of the city’s top corporations:

Wells Fargo: $2.7 Billion (3 years ago it was $8 billion!)

Schwab Financial: $1.2 Billion

PG & E: $1.2 Billion

The Gap: $1 Billion

Visa Corp: $1 Billion

4. $6.5 Billion total budget for San Francisco (08-09):

5. $900 million Police & Public Safety Budget:

Police Department: $433 Million

Fire Department: $251 Million

Sheriff Department: $166 Million

Adult Probation: $12 Million

Juvenile Probation: $38 Million

6. $100 Million dedicated funding for children & youth:

$73 Million for Dept of Children, Youth & Their Families:

Doesn’t include what the city pays to incarcerate youth in ranches, and state facilities, or the cost of incarcerating young adults in jails and state prisons.
