Katrina protesters Tazered,
TAZERS ARE TORTURE!

I have heard several testimonies of people who have been tazered and waterboardered. To a person, they all said tazering was unquestionably much worse than waterboarding.
We are not getting the full report on deaths and injuries from tazers. Why will neither party discuss this subject? What part did Rudy Guillani have in bringing tazers into common use? Where is the medical profession's interest in evaluating their safety? Who approved their use?????

Sincerely yours,
Barbara Tullis,R.N.B.S.

Remember when Pres.Bush stood in front of a blue lighted city hall in a blue shirt and promised a NEW HOMESTEAD ACT for those living in New Orleans if they would move back home. I believe he meant this and is hoping YOU will hold him to his promise as too many are keeping him from fullfilling his promise. Breach of promise is a serious breach of law. Isn't that better than low income residents having to go to each "Faith Based Charity or Church" and beg for $10.00.

It was not the fault of the residents. It was the fault of the FEDERAL government not keeping the levees safe and passing the buck to Mayor Nagin and Gov.Blanco,Sen.Landrieu. They were all in distress and needed help themselves.

That does not excuse anyone in a position of responsibility from their graft and inadequacies. Does anyone remember Gov.Blanco telling the RED CROSS they could not go on the overpass to help deliver a premature baby? I did not. I am a RED CROSS nurse and no Governor or anyone would have prevented me from helping someone in distress. I would have put Gov.Blanco under citizens arrest for negligent homicide... and proceeded to help.

I believe this disaster is the most shameful black mark on my country since slavery. Blaming a 6mo old baby, or 94yo senior citizen for their bad situation is inhumane and beneath anyone wishing to be considered civilized.

Check how much money was appropriated by charities and the governments,Federal, state, and local. THEN check how much was dispensed. I'll bet you will find most of the money has not been dispensed. What has is in the hands of "Planners" and private "study groups" with large salaries.

I am upset with the Democrats for not holding hearings in congress. The Republican congress held hearings boycotted by the Democrats. Where are the Democrats? They are still trying to stop the Iraq war, and do away with oil use and global warming. Why not start an iniative to hold all funding for environmental projects in the U.S. until New Orleans is completely restored, including the low income people.

All insurance companies should be given a "date certain" to fairly settle all those insured. Delay and deny doctrine by insurance companies and not just cruel, it is "Justice delayed is Justice denied". If all residents were to sue the offending parties in small claims court, where lawyers are not allowed, that would get the needed action to hurry and fix the problem.

I ask God's blessing on all who have suffered inexpressable losses. May your suffering end with increased faith in God and maybe even increased faith in our imperfect government.
